Nurturing tiny minds and cultivating brighter futures: that's the heartbeat of Community Partnership for Children (CPC). Since 2003, we've been Grant County's champion for early childhood education, supporting tiny learners from birth to 5 years old. CPC is one of seventeen coalitions throughout the state of New Mexico under the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD).

We strive to identify and create collaborative projects that break down existing barriers within childcare and the local workforce, enabling us to better meet the increased needs of families and businesses.

We believe the seeds sown in the early years blossom into strong individuals, thriving families, and a vibrant community, which is why we will continue to improve childcare and family resources for Grant County.

Kalah Carrasco, Executive Director and the coalition coordinator of the Community Partnership for Children, was born and raised in Silver City, New Mexico. From a young age, she displayed a deep passion for early childhood education and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

Kalah is a powerful force in the workplace, utilizing her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Kalah is inspired daily by her husband and their two sons. In her free time, Kalah likes to hike, fish and hunt with her sons and husband of 15 years.

With her dedication and expertise in the field, Kalah is committed to supporting high-quality education and creating nurturing environments for young learners. She believes in the importance of early childhood education in shaping the future of families and is enthusiastic about creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences throughout the County.
