Major New Statewide Initiative: Building Collaborative Leadership Capacity in NM Communities

The Family Development Program (FDP) has been contracted by the State of New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department to strengthen collaborative leadership skills, family engagement and shared understanding of foundational research for high quality learning. The initiative will be designed as a strong foundation for FOCUS, supporting New Mexico Statewide Comprehensive Early Learning Training and Consultation System (ECS).  Over the next four years, FDP will work closely with UNM Continuing Education, who has been awarded the New Mexico Statewide Comprehensive Early Learning Training and Consultation System contract, and with the UNM Center for Development and Disability.  Together, these aligned UNM efforts will support programs across all early childhood settings to help ensure that educators are highly effective in supporting the development and learning of each and every child in New Mexico.
